  XRay Mint Bottom.JPG - XRAY BOTTOM - Brass X-Ray carbide lamp, marked PATENTED on top and X-RAY on bottom, with original box marked No. 187 X-RAY CARBIDE LAMP, new in box condition (Created by Justrite chief designer Augie Hansen, the X-Ray cap lamp is one of the most elegant of carbide lamps. It was advertised in the 1919 Justrite Catalog #3 but was not heavily marketed through the trade journals. The brass reflector was held in a forward-tilted position by a square bracket and the bottom was decoratively stamped with the sloping X-Ray logo. See Thorpe, Carbide Light, p 147)
